Vestments
The following pictures are details of the first of a set of specially designed vestments for Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann of Bethel Congregational Church, UCC of Ontario, California.
These vestments are made of 2 threads crocheted together. The first stole, green for ordinal time, uses Knitpicks Spearmint and Natural Curio (#10 thread) which is much lighter and finer than other commercial
#10 weight threads. It has a beautiful drape and does NOT feel like the doilies or antimacassars made for Aunt Matilda's favorite chairs.
The vestments for the rest of the liturgical calendar are in the works but will be made of a combination of #10 Curio and 100% silk lace weight Luminance, also by Knitpicks.
Specs:
Full Stole length is 101 inches without fringe.
Sides are 40" each, back/neck piece is 23".
If you are considering ordering a stole, please take these measurements separately for the intended user as these vestments were customized for Dr. Mann.
